Market Square

The “true” heart of Victoria is the old Market Square. This was the center of town for the first twenty-five years of Victoria’s history. Now the site of City Hall, this square was established as the center of trade for Victoria in its early days. Four memorial lampposts and Texas Centennial Markers commemorating Round Top House, John Joseph Linn, Martin de Leon’s home, Victoria’s first church, and Edward Conrad, are located here.
