L.F. Jecker House

This vernacular structure was built about 1889 by Louis Francois Jecker, who had emigrated from Alsace in 1874. Operating the Lone Star Saloon with his brother Joe, he later founded Victoria Bottling Works. The house shows a transition between Greek Revival and Victorian periods in form and detailing. Severely damaged by fire in 1924, it was restored by the owners.
