Julia Teal Murphy House

This Victorian/ Queen Anne dwelling was designed by English architect, James Hull, a partner of Jules Leffland. It was built in 1899 for Julia Murphy, the widow of Michael J. Murphy, a prominent rancher. The west turret has varying imbricated shingle patterns. The roof on the turret fell victim to an early hurricane and was never replaced; even so, it is a stunning structure. NR-1986.
