Every Spring, Victoria Preservation, Inc. showcases Victoria’s rich history and unique architecture through their annual Historic Homes Tour. The first tour, “Exploring the Past through Architecture,” took place in 1981. Since then, over 150 homes have been opened to the public. These guided tours serve as a window to the past and the stories to be told within the walls of our historic homes are fascinating.

The Goliad Massacre reenactment occurs every spring at the Presidio La Bahia and features enthusiasts who dress the parts of the Texas and Mexican armies. The event is an impressive display of period clothing, tools and weapons and is a fascinating way to learn about the events that led to the end of Colonel Fannin and his men.

Victoria Preservation, Inc. invites you to participate in a most unique outing, their annual Cemetery Tour. Don’t worry, there will be no ghosts or ghouls on the tour. The ambiance of the cemetery is quite enough. Go back in time and relive history, told by those who lived it. The individuals portrayed during the event are real people, not fictional characters. You will visit them at their actual grave sites. Meticulous research is done to ensure that the information presented is historically accurate, as well as entertaining. Come out to the cemetery and pay your respects. You’ll have a great time!
